Mensis. Empowered. Period., Futura20’s second annual Symposium, seeks to convene key stakeholders and individuals in the Canadian period poverty sector for a conversation. Mensis. Empowered. Period. follows our inaugural Symposium DecisionElles in August 2020, which sought to explore the next “Big Idea,” a creative initiative to better the place and role of women and female-identifying individuals in Canada. Period poverty, an issue identified by our youth cohort, has become the first focus of Futura20’s work and the topic of our Symposium Mensis. Empowered. Period. By convening Canadian leaders in the fight against period poverty, Mensis. Empowered. Period. seeks to identify what is feasible to achieve as a national collective and work towards implementing creative solutions.
